Produced by small family Sidama farmers. The coffee in this region can be very varied in character, is mostly washed and has a long standing reputation for quality. Primary co-operatives are currently investing their social premiums into construction of schools, roading and transportation, electricity, flour mills, and warehouses. Focused on improving coffee production infrastructure and support. Shanta Golba produces both washed and natural coffees in a very similar manner to the other primary groups in the union. This coffee is dried in the cherry on raised beds, delivering clean, complex berry fruit and deep sweet chocolate flavours.
