NZ’s First Certified CQI Q Grader Instructor!
The TPC Team are excited to share some news with you!
Our founder, Stu, has officially become New Zealand’s first ever certified Coffee Quality Institute of America Q Grader, Instructor (with less than 70 people certified across the globe, it’s quite the achievement!).
Our founder, Stu, has officially become New Zealand’s first ever certified Coffee Quality Institute of America Q Grader, Instructor (with less than 70 people certified across the globe, it’s quite the achievement!).
This accomplishment has been 15 years in the making; with multiple tests, sensory trainings, certifications, and reviews from the team at CQI America.
Stu’s hard work and passion for coffee quality has set a new benchmark for Turning Point Coffee, and also opens opportunities for the wider coffee community across New Zealand. His motivation is to bring the opportunity of this valuable education to the wider NZ coffee community, “it has been a challenge for the NZ community to engage with the programme in the past”.
Stu is also a huge supporter of the Coffee Quality Institute’s mission, to “Improve coffee quality and the lives of those who produce it”, he has seen first-hand the impact that the Q programme can deliver and the impact it can have, creating a common language for quality and creating better outcomes for everyone in the supply chain.
We're looking forward to sharing Stu’s expertise and knowledge, our end goal is to create better coffee for everyone:
